One of my colleagues left yesterday.
I will miss her.
She's stepped out of the boat,
but I know she'll walk on water.
Eternity
To see the world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wildflower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.
He who binds himself to a joy
Does the winged life destroy:
He who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.
I will miss her.
She's stepped out of the boat,
but I know she'll walk on water.
Eternity
To see the world in a grain of sand
And heaven in a wildflower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.
He who binds himself to a joy
Does the winged life destroy:
He who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.
(William Blake)
